Did you know?

There are 12 million Brits aged 65+

5.4 million are aged 75+

1.6 million are aged 85+

0.5 million are aged 90+

3.8 million older people in the UK live alone, 58% of whom are 75+.

43% of malnourished individuals are over the age of 65+

For many older people, getting old ls no walk in the park. You are suddenly not able to do the things you used to do. Maybe you develop health problems. Perhaps you feel you are losing your independence. You're not as mobile as before. You can not manage your medication. It is often hard to accept you now have certain limitations, and that it is time to consider seeking some support.

Whatever your needs are, remember that everyone has the right to be in a space/home that is safe, comfortable and dignified.

There are many options, however home care (domicillian and eventually live-in) is often the best option.

Here are the pros:

Usually the most cost-effective option.

Staying in the home you love

Staying close to friends or family

Sraying where places are familiar

Carer visits help isolation & loneliness.

Care plan is tailored to your needs

No excess costs for care not required.

Individuals can keep their pets.

Eat what you want, when you want to.

Personable, individualised service

Support, from professionals who know and understand your specific needs and wants.

The only real con:

Equipment and modifications to the home could be costly and will affect the value of the property

We are very grateful to all domicillian and live-in carers that do a sterling job to assist and support clients in the community.
